Aims
- To learn and understand digital smile design and its application when undertaking prosthetically driven crown lengthening surgery
- To understand indications and management strategies for functional and aesthetic crown lengthening surgery
- To learn the different techniques and concepts for rehabilitation using composite resin
Objectives
- How to comprehensively examine and assess a patient (aesthetic, restorative and surgical considerations)
- Understanding digital smile design and stent design
- Understand and grasp concepts of wax up transfer techniques using direct composite resin : a) palatal shell with layering b) Injection moulding technique
- Understanding biotype/ phenotype and supracrestal tissue attachment (biological width)
- Understand the indications and principles for crown lengthening surgery
- Apply different crown lengthening surgical techniques on models and pigs' heads
- Be proficient in planning and taking on cases in practice

After graduating with BDS Honours from the University of Manchester in 2014, receiving the prestigious Charles H Preston prize medal in the process, I expanded my practical skills with a range of tenures at dental practices and hospitals across the country. This included serving as an Oral and Maxillofacial Senior House Officer for Northampton General Hospital, before pursuing a 4-year specialist program in prosthodontics at King’s College London.
Now it is my pleasure to play a role in educating and mentoring the new generation of young dentists.

For cancellations of bookings up to 6 weeks prior to the course start date, you will receive a full refund minus a 10% administrative fee of the total course. Please note that swap requests up to 6 weeks prior to the course start date are subject to availability and this is liable to a 10% administration fee. For cancellations of bookings within 6 weeks of the course start date and failure to attend a course on the day no refund will be provided. In the event that YDS cancels a course due to unforeseen circumstances, the course will be rescheduled promptly and you will be notified as such. It it to note YDS cannot be liable for any additional costs associated with this. Please note that all refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during registration. I graduated from the Leeds Dental Institute in 2016 and immediately immersed myself in the practical applications of dentistry in a number of practices across Surrey and South West London. I furthered my knowledge with a postgraduate diploma in primary dental care at the University of Kent, graduating with a distinction, and recently completed my doctorate at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Co-founding YDS was the logical next step in my dental career, giving me the opportunity to share my knowledge with the next cohort of young dentists.
